Cash compensation, they have the potential to pull in more (and most likely do if Citadel has a good year) after year-end bonus.

With the equity packages GOOG/FB have been offering, pretty sure Facebook/Google win out in the long run though.

Also depends on where you are coming from. Engineers going to GOOG/FB from Stanford and MIT get more than everyone else (although I'm sure there are countless exceptions).

Twitter beats all of them for base sal, which is mindblowing. No idea about Apple.

Any idea what twitter's base is?

I can't speak for citadel FTAP, but i know a guy who did citadel ITAP, and he made around $200K his first year out of college.

P.S: The Citadel FTAP package looks like this .. 100k base + 20k signing bonus + 8k relocation Now compare that with Amazon .. 95k base + 30k singing bonus + 45k in stock (vets over 3 years) in Washington state (0% state tax)

For a software dev, does the base pay go up faster at a place like Citadel? How large are the bonuses for the folks in Citadel's Technology groups? What kind of money do HFT programmers make?

@protectedclass: Many of my classmates got offers from MSFT. None of their offers looked as great. The 2012 MSFT offer to be best of my knowledge are .. 95k base + 5k relocation + 50k stock (vets in 3 years)
