Conflict of Interest?
Hello world! Can't believe I've finally made an account after reading the forum for so many years...
Anyhow,
I currently manage a small-ish Hedge Fund but also transact in my own portfolio, using separate strategies not covered in the fund's investment activities. I am considering trading in an LLC in order to reduce my personal tax liabilities. My question here is, since I am also in charge of the LLC that acts as the Investment Manager for the Hedge Fund, do you believe this presents some conflict of interest?
My instinct is that it does not, but there is this voice in the back of my head that tells me having two separate LLCs for personal and business is a bit unorthodox.
Appreciate any feedback!
