DE Shaw Generalist Internship Process

Hello,

My girlfriend is interviewing for an internship at DE Shaw for the generalist program. We are both trying to figure what the recruiting process entails. She has done a first round, case study, and super day. However, it seems that she has one more interview and reference check left. This was confusing for me because in my experience you usually figured out whether or not you got the internship after the superday, but it seems like they are making her do more than that?

Does anyone have insight on this process? Thank you!
