Hedge Fund Recruiting -where to start?

Just finished my IB third year summer and received a return, but am looking into hedge funds down the line (after a 2-year analyst stint). Where do I start with recruiting? Initially, I was considering returning to school looking at a degree like and MFin/MFE or an MBA, and then recruiting to hedge funds out of there, but it seems like hedge fund recruiting relies heavily on headhunters, whom I am completely unfamiliar with. Any advice/tips on where to start? I understand I might be a bit early, but I started IB recruiting too late, and don't want to repeat the same mistake (and given how much the PE recruiting cycle has moved up, I imagine it's similar for hedge funds).

Hi Mr Cohen,

I worked at a prestigious bank ( it was a bulge bracket) this summer. My analyst mentor and I worked on a live deal and ripped some upper lippy deckies together. I think I have a sharp technical mindset when it comes to formatting PowerPoints and fixing my lip pillow.

Are you guys at capacity for summer 2024? I heard your trader’s upper gums always are occupied and I was wondering if that was representative of the whole firm. I really think the L/S at p72 is for me. I will work my hardest every day on the job regardless of the daily zynbabwe intake.

p.s. the mets are mid, trade for ohtani and ask him to tell BOJ to stop fucking with yield curve control.

Thanks
