Online Columbia Value Investing Course
Long time lurker here. 2nd year PE associate at a MF, previously did banking at GS/MS, joining a large SM in a few and wondering if it would be worthwhile to do the 9 week online value investing course from Columbia. I went to a target undergrad, but I’ve never actually taken a finance class and it hasn’t been an issue so far, but this next gig seems kinda intense and I wonder if it wouldn’t at the very least help me feel more confident if I took some sort of course. I know some online courses can be a poor approximation of the real thing though, and I wouldn’t want to sign away all of my free time on something that won’t be of any use. Thoughts?
It's way over priced imo. You are way better off hitting the books: https://www.dickthesellsider.com/pages/reading-list.
There are tons of free resources online if you have the will to go through them on your own - I hope you do as you will do that on your day job soon anyways.
