Point 72 Fundamental Researcher (Summer 2024) Internship
Applied to P72 FRG internship mid Aug this year. Received Hirevue and Criteria test earlier today.
Second-year at target non-math/cs/stat major.
Anyone have details? Role is obviously not geared towards quant but would love to know about interview questions/timeline in advance if anyone else did this. Thank you!
Based on the most helpful WSO content, Point72 has a rigorous selection process for their internships. For the Fundamental Researcher role, you can expect a mix of technical and behavioral questions.
The process usually starts with a Hirevue interview, which you've already received. This is typically followed by a phone screen, and then a superday offer. The superday can be quite intensive, with multiple interviews covering a range of topics.
As for the timeline, it can vary, but based on previous WSO threads, the process is on a rolling basis, meaning applications are reviewed as they come in.
Remember, while the role may not be geared towards quant, having a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to analyze and interpret data will be beneficial.
Good luck with your application! And remember, every banana peel is just a step on the path to success.

Got this too, similar background (at a target, qualitative major) any updates?
