Quant in Hong Kong
Hi guys this is my first question at WSO so excuse me for inappropriate details.
Do tier 1 quants exist in HK, like Jane Street, Point72, Two Sigma etc.. I'm an HK undergrad and right now I'm very confused about whether there are actual quants at all here because everyone is only talking about either IB or AM. I know that there are some positions offered by Jane Street, but I'm not sure if they're doing the same as their US counterparts. Also, is it conventional to work in say Jane Street's HK branch and get transferred to US HQ?
Additionally, if anyone has the experience, what does it take to do these quant graduate positions in HK? (I imagine it would be a little less hardcore that in the US?)
