yes you could go to SUNY Stonybrook website and find his bio there, he teaches and heads the Master's in Quantitative Finance program there. Cool guy, RenTec happens to be about a 10 minute drive from that school so he manages to be in charge of their quant trading strategies.
sorry, didn't notice its all there in his resume. :) I just know of the guy and jumped straight into it.
He doesn't get more "non-target" than that!
Stony Brook has a great math dep't, and Jim Simons used to teach there. A family friend who I know pretty well did his PhD in math at Stony Brook and currently works at RenTec. I'm sure that he's not the only one from Stony Brook.
RenTec actively looks to hire Stony Brook Quant Grads. This guy's resume is one of the most impressive I've ever seen, btw.
More than one page, dinged.
hahaha
Know a guy who went to DeVry who is a head algo trader @ GS now.. in his words, "It's all about a lot of hard work and a lot of networking/doing favors for others." Of course the kid is extremely smart as well..
hats off. great mix of academia + industry cred. don't think it's really that 'non-target' though, given stony brook's kick-ass math department...
Stony Brook has John Milnor. If I knew more geometry/topology, I'd probably be drooling.
