Thoughts on jump from a MM HF to Growth Equity

I would love an insight into what this move would look like. Is it feasible, should I consider an MBA? I am at a large MM HF covering TMT and have grown a genuine interest in growth equity investing. Trying to think of how I can make this jump and would appreciate any insight
