Advice on getting from Texas to SF IB?

I go to a private school in Texas with a good business school. I am a Finance and Econ major with a 3.5 business GPA. I really like TMT and want to get to SF IB doing M&A. I interned with ML PWM and a startup in London and now work for a financial group that is launching a hedge fund and does a lot with oil and gas. I feel like I have a good resume but my GPA isn't going to blow anyone away. Basically I wanted to know if anybody had advice on how to break into SF when I don't go to a target California school?
