BB/MM/EB vs MM Private Equity

Hi everyone,

I am currently an Analyst with 1 year of experience at a regional boutique doing M&A . I am stuck between lateraling to a larger brand name Investment Bank in NYC (Lazard, RBC, Piper) or jumping into a MM PE (1.5B AUM, 650MM current fund) in NYC as well. Curious to know what will grant be the best exit opps into a larger PE shop, not necessarily a MF but think Towerbrook, HIG and the like. Also curious if id be considered an Associate at the PE shop, they were not very clear. What should I be expecting comp and hours at either opportunity?
