Best IB Analyst Day in the Life Video on Youtube?
I was wondering what is everyone's favorite IB analyst day in the life video? i know there are a lot of different videos made by Kenji Explains, Peak Frameworks, Angela, Rare Liquid, Sam Shiah, etc. Personally I came across a great one the other day by SkiMaskBro linked below, but open for other suggestions as I am incoming FT with no SA experience
LMAO minute 6:40 on the SkiMaskBro vid has me dead 😂
If I were an SA I would def want SkiMaskBro as my Senior Analyst
nahhh he ran the treadmill in deal sleds
lol now that’s dedication 👞
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I wonder if the ski mask serves as a hotbox for that vape 💨
I prefer wearing these bad boys when I run the treadmill
Gucci Jordaan's or Bust, according to Mark Moran
username checks out
“Other” checks out
Stupid question but do decks actually go up to v200 like in 0:25 of SkiMaskBro or is that just an over-exaggeration
been on two sell sides, one was v92 and other v135 but yes, you can definitely get to 200+ if you got a crazy MD(s)
Nahh u and IU-Hoosiers def made this video lol. Good stuff though. Subscribed
Holy shit lmfao
TBH it depends on the firm and their internal technology. At my bank our group uses Microsoft SharePoint/OneDrive for all our files which makes our PowerPoint/Excel files have Google Drive like features such as autosave and version history, meaning we only really version up every time we receive comments. The highest version of a bake-off deck I’ve run into was like v50. If your firm doesn’t use OneDrive, you’ll likely see many v100+ files
Does every bank have an india team? How much of the work can they actually help you do lol?
Typically the bigger the bank the higher likelihood they’ll have an India team. From my experience they are really good in doing a lot of the menial tasks which doesn’t take much thinking but takes a lot of time, such as putting together a list of active portfolio companies in x industry for 20 different sponsors that’s properly scrubbed or recreating a picture of a graph into an actual PowerPoint slide with an editable chart.
We use our outsourced team primarily for repetitive tasks. Like if we need a page showing a picture and a bio of each mgmt and Board member for a deck, we send them a link to the website we make 1 page and ask them to do it again for the other 17 people. Never really use them for anything analytical
In my group, we’ve sent a comps backup for them to roll forward and pull data for us once most companies have finished reporting fiscal year end or pull KPIs like retention metrics from earnings calls
This is by far the best a day in the life of an IB analyst. Need more fire content from SkiMaskBros 🔥
Not gonna lie but skimaskbro is the first “IB YouTuber” I’ve come across that I’d ACTUALLY want to get a drink with in real life.
SkiMaskBro for Top Bucket MD
Need more funny finance content creators lmaoo. Make a day in the week version
Need some more content from the ski mask bros, they lit
appreciate the love! let us know what other content you wanna see and we'll try to make them education / funny at the same time -- as yall can imagine, its quite difficult
Love the content brother. I would enjoy videos that cover different timeframes beyond a day in a life of an IB analyst. I’m thinking a week in the life of an IB analyst, a month in the life of an IB analyst, or even a year in the life of an IB analyst. Thank you for blessing us with the amazing content 🙏
I actually loved your modeling series! Would appreciate some more content on tips + tricks incl. setting up QAT etc...
Dude the new video is fire!!!
I don’t feel like creating a new topic for this but I want to just say that I found a typo in this CIM I’m reading from Raymond James. The font color blends into the background and the slide has a note that says “marketing to update” in the corner.
damn the india team would never miss that comment
I once made a pie chart that summed up to 110%

Gotta always stay professional. love it.
I’m surprised no one has yet mentioned that video of the guy who worked at Deutsche and called himself an investment banker but worked compliance
lmaoooo some of these finance people be such clowns, pubfin and ecm boys thinking they true ibankers and then the CFA Level 1 Candidates and MBA Associates thinking they know everything 😂
do you have a link lol?
tried finding it, but it was posted on WSO several years ago now at least (maybe 4?). There were comments on the youtube video roasting him, calling him out for not working in IB to which he would reply "but I work with clients though"
There's Lamide Elizabeth, Bryan Jun and Sol
Bryan Jun is the OG
Facts he the boy but skimaskbro on the come up 🚀
Throwing potassium your way all day son.
