Breaking in the industry

Hello everyone
I am a recent graduate from the university of Manchester M.Sc finance program, My goal is to get an analyst job in an investment bank preferably in the U.K or U.S because of the language, the ideal scenario would be an m&a or valuation analyst job. Unfortunately my attempts to land a job during my postgraduate studies were unsuccessful. as for work experience i am currently working for the transactional advisory department of Grant Thornton in Greece and i have completed the mandatory military service required of Greek citizens (not sure it matters). Given I am now 25 i would like to know if i have a chance to break into the industry and what if any qualifications and or it skills i could develop to boost my chances. Thank you for any advice
Kind Regards
Ion
