Does AmplifyMe summer analyst training program hold any value for investment banking job applications?
I have a decent profile - MSc Finance grad from LSE, CFA Level 1, IB internship at bulge bracket (London), other finance internships. I don't have any IB offers for this year.
I am considering doing the AmplifyMe program for summer 2023 to bridge my CV gap and hope for some additional advantage from BBs and EBs when I apply for IB applications again in Sep 2023.
Does anyone know if the Amplify program is viewed favourably in IB applications? I know the focus is more on sales and trading rather than IB, but considering how Amplify is recognised by a lot of big banks, I would expect a similar value for banking roles. I am hesitant only because of the £2000 cost of the programme.
No. Don't ever pay money for any programme unless its one of the all inclusive financial modelling courses from WSP/BIWS and those are like $400-500 max. Even those are a bit overkill.
Judging by your profile, you should already have a good background in corp finance/modelling so dont bother with those even unless you really want to nerd out
