fucked up this semester, recruiting chances?

hello,

unfortunately I have fucked up this semester and my GPA will drop to 3.6 - is it still worth the time to network and apply for BB/EB banking and PE roles for summer 2022 (current sophomore)? i feel like there are so many target kids with 3.8, 3.9+ so wondering whether it is worth my time or if I should pivot to less competitive areas of finance

things I do have going for me:

-working at hedge fund with several billion in AUM this summer, one of the ones that ppl sort of jerk off to on this site

-getting an academic paper published

-leadership position in a finance club

-STEM + finance double major

-decent network built up

should clarify, I'm from a non-target (like 1 decent bank actually recruits from my school)
