Going to be Freshman at University of Colorado Boulder in the fall. How do I break into the industry?

Is it a necessity for me to transfer schools? If so what do I need to do to accomplish that? How easy is it to transfer to a target school? What things can I do this summer to get a leg up on other freshman? Are there any skills or things I could be studying right now to increase my chances to land a good internship? Any other general advice to me going into my freshman year as a finance major? Thanks all.

I know some people at UC Boulder who have broken into banking so it is not impossible. With that being said you will have to work and network hard. Transferring is an easier route but it is not always feasible. Do well in school, get some good internships, and network with alumni who are in banking. (You can find them by doing a search on Linkedin Xray).
