JPM announces Investment Banking apprenticeship
Just read this in the FT - wow. https://www.ft.com/content/a8ded30b-05a5-491a-a2fe-affd1912f9e5
For those without a subscription, basically it's a 4-year apprenticeship for high school leavers, where you will work at JPM whilst getting a degree in BS Finance from Exeter University. Unlike previous programmes this will be for legit front-office programmes (IBD).
What does everyone think? Will other banks follow? Seems like a bit of a game changer, and a great opportunity for any of the younger users on this forum.
I have done BSc + MSc with 2x6 month M&A internships and was rejected by J.P. Morgan SA without interview. And now they are going to give the spots to 18yr olds. LDN recruiting is such a joke 😂
I also thought it's ironic they're using Exeter for the degree but won't give Exeter students a second look for recruiting
.
Cool. Good kuck
