LBS MFA Acceptance looking for advice

Hey primates,

I have been accepted to the MFA from LBS starting next september. It is a big investment, thus, I want to take full advantage of it. Which areas do you recommend to live at? How can I prepare best for recruiting? Should I apply before going to school or profit from the networking events once there? My role is to secure AM/ER roles in London/Paris both SA or graduate, any specific advice?

I am also happy to help. thxxxx in advance

Where to live: St John woods - you can find a flat share for 200pw.

How to prepare for recruiting: really take the stupid online tests seriously and prepare for them. Make sure your CV and Cover letters are spot on and prepare them over the summer. As applying for AM/ER I would also have stock pitches ready.

When to apply: can only speak for IB but usually applications open late August and I recommend to apply then. You can always network after that and hope that people will vouch for you to get you interviews. Not sure about ER/AM but recruiting will kick-off later, it's surely worth reaching out to the career center at LBS as they are quite good and should be able to help you with CV and timeline of applications!

Best place to live is definitely Oxford, and make sure you do the MFE and not the MFA.
