Phoenix Management Services

Has anyone heard of Phoenix Management Services? I believe they specialize in restructuring/placement and other advisory deals, but it's really difficult to find any information on WSO or others. 


If anyone knows anything about the shop, please share.

Reputable LMM shop.  I think they're still organized by three divisions these days: 1) investment banking, primarily distressed M&A / rx but they just brought in a few guys who do healthy deals, 2) TAS similar to Big4 but for distressed companies, and 3) turnaround/mgmt consulting.  Their HQ location is a bummer though, Philly suburbs but close to the DE and not where all of the other Philly firms are on the main line.  But I imagine in today's remote/WFH environment it probably doesn't matter much.  

 

Thanks a lot for the info. That's definitely helpful. I did see that they do have a location in NYC, but unsure whether they're putting new hires in that office. 

Do you have any idea how work experience at Phoenix might be viewed if one were to apply for more traditional IB/PE positions after a few years? I tried some searches on LinkedIn, but couldn't really find a clear answer to this. And lastly, obviously a long shot, but any idea on their comps?
