Screentime —> feeling dizzy?

Been working in banking (mostly from home) for about 8 months now. For the first time, today I got really dizzy and lightheaded, and I think it has to do with staring at screens for many hours every day. For context, this week has been especially difficult hours wise.

has this dizziness as a result of screen-time happened to you? Does a nice pair of bluelight glasses help? Certainly don’t want this to continue as it would make doing this job near impossible.

thanks!

doesn’t really matter what brand just make sure that lenses are orange or yellowish(orange is best) clear glasses don’t actually block blue light.

Extended exposure to high frequency light is very dangerous for the eyes, especially at close distances and in poorly lit environments. Blue light filters / glasses decrease strain on your eye muscles and reduce the amount of higher energy light you stare at for 8+ hours every day. Of course, make sure the ones you buy actually do filter out blue light. Use a blue laser to test it out.

Download the program F.lux (if you’re on Windows). You can set it to auto-adjust your screen go reduce the amount of blue light. Can have it kick in around sundown and will maintain the coloring until sunup.

If you’re working on a color sensitive deck or something you can whitelist certain programs for it to ignore.

Highly recommend.
