Super zealous colleague trying to convert me
Hey all,
There's been an issue bothering me. One of my lazy ass religious colleagues keeps annoying me (trying to convert me), bringing 'what Jesus what do' in every discussion, telling me to 'seek salvation'. I am not a religious person and stay away from all these discussions.
I have tried to humbly told him to back off but the guy is persistent. At one point, the guy even said responded saying I have terrorist lineage (my mother is from Egypt, but my dad was American). All this while this guy himself was not even born here. (I was born here and you can imagine was MAD AS HELL)
BTW he only got like this in the last 5 months or so (dont know WTF happened).
Any ideas to get him off my back (while not saying something that HR will have issue with).
( I know this is very off topic but i feel like I will get better advice on this forum than anywhere else)
You either tell him very strictly "Do not talk to me about religion. Period. Stop it because it makes me uncomfortable."
or tell HR. they will tell him to back off lol
What that guy is doing is absolutely inappropriate. I would just directly escalate to HR right away, since it seems like you have already asked him to back off before and that hasn't stopped him.
