Syndicate Execution Senior Analyst (Middle Office) Looking for Guidance

WSO gang -

I'm a Senior Analyst on the Leveraged Loan Syndicate Execution team at a 1st Tier BB (Think MS, JPM, GS, Citi, etc.). We essentially help the LevFin Capital Markets teams and LevFin Origination with all operational aspects of a deal and serve as a liaison between the Investment Banking Division and Operations (our team sits in IBD).

I did my internship at a 2nd Tier French Bank in ECM and have experience as the only employee at a VERY small RIA/HF and at an Information Conglomerate prior to my "IB" experience. I used to be "FO" at the RIA in the sense that I was very client facing, was let go (story for another time but the guy was a serial firer), and got a job at a BO role and lateraled to a MO role.

I'm very adept in the Leveraged Lending space and understand multiple capital markets products. I've been looking to make a hop back to the FO and have been sending out tons of applications internally/networking my butt off but having trouble gaining major traction at my current firm. I also bought the Rosenbaum & Pearl textbook/workbook and am cranking through that to brush up on my technicals. Does anyone have any advice, thoughts, or comments on what I could or should be doing differently? Starting to feel like it's a lost cause...
