Tips for drafting slide sketches/writeup
As the title says… am getting into that phase where I need to start drafting slides, MD asks me to give him the outline for ~10 slides, while I have some idea from precedents, would welcome suggestions/best practices for what worked and what did not
TIA
Go on the shared drive and take slides from past books that you can use or repurpose with minimal work to fit your needs.
Sounds like my VP. Take previous decks, change numbers and logo, claim as your own original work.
Nothing exclusive to your VP… this is really common (and most of the time best) practice across investment banks

An associate I know keeps his personal library with slides to help him with drafting. Whenever he sees a slide that he likes, he inserts it /or a picture of it into a ppt, could be slides created by him or someone else in the team, from ER presentations, capital markets days etc etc.
I guess seeing how people present different messages 1000 times and saving the very best you’ve seen really helps, he’s really good at creating presentations.
