Advice: Resignation Notice Period
Currently an An2 at a BB, I have an offer that I am accepting with a May 1st start date. Trying to time things correctly, when should I give my notice period. Also with my notice period will they send me home and just not have me work during the period or have me keep working during that time?
Is your offer at another bank or competitor? If so, banks usually have a policy where they walk you out. If its not a competitor, they could make you work the 2 week notice period. Either way, I would give notice within 2 weeks of starting, unless you want to take some vacation before.
Thanks, I just had vacation so not planning on taking any. This is a buy side firm not sell side competitor.
