AmplifyMe or MD Referral for Morgan Stanley?
Do you get fast-tracked to a real first round interview if you get referred by an MD at the firm or by AmplifyMe?

Last year half of all S&T summer interns for London at MS were referred by AmplifyMe so that clearly shows that they get fast-tracked to an interview or even an assessment centre right?
This is a flawed statistic that is pure marketing from Amplify. Again, I keep on seeing this but there's no justification for this figure in my LinkedIn.
Amplify (as I've posted before) is in my opinion a complete scam. Yes, they have a strange partnership with Morgan Stanley where I assume they leverage the partnership by holding some AC places just for those traders that have completed the simulation and have scored highly. In that case, you are probably correct.
However, I want to stress that doing the Amplify thing is by no means a pre-requisite necessary for a place and I strongly do not think that 50% of interns at MS were AmplifyMe alumni. I believe what Amplify are saying is that 50% of the S+T desks in MS are referees of AmplifyMe through both their free simulation (scam) and also their paid £2k - £3k "internship". So, this combines both their AmplifyMe referral schemes and graduates of their scam internship who then applied to internships at MS the following year and were successful otherwise. That, of course, would skew the marketing numbers in their favour (especially in the latter case).
I know 8-10 people in MS S+T London and only 1 of them was an AmplifyMe participant (and even they didn't need AmplifyMe because they were already technically sound) - the others applied as normal and excelled through their interview.
Sorry for the outburst lol but this amplifyMe thing really gets on my nerves and is just so scammy that people constantly post about it.
Wow thanks for all that info. That must have taken some time to write so thank you :)
No worries hahaha I’ve seen it every year and it’s just insane how their marketing dupes people hence why my comments is refined and detailed
fair play, sort of shows they can market a scam well but I wanted to stop people mindlessly throwing away money to these schemes because it’s a joke
