College Junior picking between BB Commercial Banking Credit Summer Analyst or Regional Boutique IB
I am a college junior at a semi-target school with current offers for commercial credit at a BB or IB SA at a regional boutique, both in a tier 1 city. Which should I choose?
It depends on what your goals are. If you’re dead set on IB, then take the boutique offer. On the flip side, I’ve seen a few commercial credit interns at BBs have a good summer/ build their network, and leverage that into making a jump internally (in a good market).
I believe I’m dead set on IB in the long run. I’ve already completed an IB internship and genuinely enjoy the content of the work. My only hesitation is that I’ll receive a return offer for commercial banking but would have to recruit for FT if I were to take the other one
