Commercial banking at SME bank or tax consulting at big 4?

I've been working in transfer pricing at KPMG for a year and have recently been offered a grad role at St George (a business bank in Australia which focuses on small to medium businesses).
My ultimate goal is to work in investment banking but I'm unsure which path will be more lucrative and where I will be doing more interesting and analytical work?
If I stay at KPMG I will try to transfer to KPMG deals (which my partner says can take about a year), do my CA and either stay there or move to IB. I wouldn't mind staying as I quite like the culture at KPMG.
If I take my corporate banking role I would do my CFA and try moving into corporate banking at an investment bank as a springboard to moving into investment banking.
Please help me decide which option will make me more employable in M&A.
thanks in advance!!
