Financial Service or Software Developer

I earned a BS in CS but am studying Financial Engineering for Master's. I am not sure which career path I should choose. If I go financial service, I expect a position in middle/back office, with a starting salary of 70-80k. However, if I go software development, I may earn 100k. Do you guys have any suggestions on this topic? Which area offers a better career for future?
