GE Commercial Leadership Program - GE Capital
Have an interview lined up for GE CLP. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on it. There's a lot of stuffy about FMP but am pretty clueless about CLP. What are the exit ops etc.
Thanks!

I think CLP is more focused on the sales side, it's a program that trains for future CEO's of GE's businesses while FMP trains for CFO's.
.
Do you know what the interview is like? Is it all fit?
Explosion, have you heard back from recruiter?

Does anyone have any exposure/knowledge on GE's Commercial Leadership Program? It says it's mainly sales and marketing, which is not really my forte. What draws me to it is it's for GE Capital and could provide great networking opportunities.
Any idea on exit opps? Or will it feed to more senior level within area? Will this look good on a MBA app?
Any feedback would be appreciated. thanks
Yes, it will look good on an MBA app. Just know, if you go through one of these programs and leave after... they will hate you. They put $200k into your training, and when you just up and leave you ruin their whole process. They recruit based on the candidates saying they will be a lifer at GE. Also, recruiting is probably in the works. So if you haven't even applied yet you're way too late.
That's good to know, thank you. I actually have an interview with them this week and just looking for some perspective.
Good luck! Don't let on that you'd look for opportunities elsewhere. Mention 5yr and 10yr career goal at GE. (i.e. "When I've finished I love to get hired on as an Investment Analyst, and hopefully after 5 years move finance manger position. My goal is to be a Director/Controller by my tenth year with GE.")
Is this an SA position for third years? Or FT?
