Maths

Hello,

I'm currently going for an undergraduate maths degree here in england (none of your american pissy degrees ;) ) and I just wondered had anyone else got into IB through Maths? If so, how'd the interview go? Do they seem any more tough on the analytical questions?

I think that the problem here might be that while we take "math" class or study "math" in America, they take "maths" in the UK.

"Maths" wasn't a typo or poor grammer on Big Adam's part.

Cheers for that mnkyboi; "maths" is an abbreviation, since the word "mathematics" itself is a pluralised word, coming from the latin pluralised word "mathematica". Now there's a bit of etymology for you all, to brighten up a dull night.

In my experience with a similar background, I was asked quick mental calculations (percents, multiplication, roots, etc.) but had to specifically prove my interest and knowledge of finance.
