Move From Commercial Banking To Credit Research
Hi,
I've been working in commercial banking for almost 3 years now. Have completed the CFA Exams also. My long term goal is to move to credit research. I'm currently looking to transfer to our corporate banking team to gain further experience, as well as look at research roles elsewhere. Would anyone have any input as to whether this is feasible? I'm hoping to try the credit rating agencies once a corporates position becomes available in London as from what I've seen on here, it appears to be a good route to take.
From talking to recruiters, I seem to be too experienced / overqualified from grad roles, yet not ready for experienced roles, so I'm caught in between at the moment.
Also if there's anything that people think I could do to increase my chances of landing a research role, I'd welcome the advice.
