Move to London at an Asset Management firm

Hi, I'm currently working in India, in sell-side equities covering the consumer sector for over two years now. I'll be moving to a big buy-side fund in the next one month. Hoping to learn a lot there, post which I would like to move to London on the buy-side itself in about 1-1.5 years. I want to avoid the MBA route. Is it possible for me to find a job there directly and make the move? I know visa can be an issue but I'm hoping my experience would be good enough for the employer to push for me to arrange the visa or is that just too wishful? Any suggestions on how I can go about this and/or if anyone has already done something similar. Want to start prepping in advance

Thanks!
