Recruiting for Fall 2023 and Summer 2024 internships?
I'm a rising sophomore, and I was wondering when I should start networking/recruiting for Fall 2023 and Summer 2024 internships. For context, I'm non-diverse and want to do IB, so my "actual" recruiting will be this spring for summer 2025. Also, what type of firms should I target? Will MM's like Blair take sophomores?
Focus on having fun, it's not hard to land an IB internship, as long as you don't have the personality of a door and can memorize 20 basic questions.Next year in January reach out to firms you are interested in.
As a non-target non-div doing at a top bank, I networked summerish for the fall internship and also for next summer. The issue is after reaching out in the summer you have to follow up in the fall then in the spring. But if you hold the relationship you're gaurenteed to have the support of your contacts.
