Rejected by One Office, Accepted by Another

This is regarding a SA internship for IB. It's a bit of a tricky situation. I was rejected by one office (Location A) (this was after the first round, during which I only talked to one person). Then, about a month later, I applied to the same bank and group but for a different office (Location B). I went through the interview process again with only office B personnel and received the offer. Apparently, the two locations collaborate on deals, but their hiring processes are separate. No one has mentioned my previous rejection. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this situation before or has suggestions on how to navigate it during the internship. Considering the possibility of working on deals with the person who rejected me at Location A this summer, should I interact with them before or during the internship? If so, any suggestions on how to approach it professionally?

I would not say a word. Because it can create a negative perception of you before you even start the job. No one wants that.

If it’s for a 2025 position, and you spoke to an analyst, there’s a high likelihood that they won’t be there when you start.

Let it get buried under the never ending document mill that is the Human Resources department and let it ride my friend…

Thanks for your input! Appreciate It. This is actually for this summer. And the person is still with the bank. Should I start looking for other opportunities for full-time? Or extend my graduation?
