Series 7 + Internship
My sister will be a sophomore this fall at NYU (not Stern, just CAS). She has already passed her Series 7 License Exam and is thinking about applying for internships next summer at Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, etc. Does she have a better chance of becoming an intern if she has the license? Oh, she is also a minority (if that matters?). Thanks for the input!
How has she passed her Series 7 without a sponsoring firm?
Any credentials like the Series 7 can only help the situation, but many groups don't require the Series 7 anyways. Either way it will be a feather in her cap.
She works at a small finance company now and they sponsored her after a year of working there.
