Transitioning into financial role

Hi guys,

I just graduated back in May 2019 and immediately took a job at one of the big 4 in San Francisco. The job is in tax, VAT specifically. It's not exactly where I liked to be or where I thought I'd end up having double majored in International business/economics. It just happened to be the best offer at the time. I would like to transition into finance, specifically trying my hand at FP&A role
Any tips on how to make that transition?
