When Lord, WHEN is this Shit Recruiting Market Going to Pick Up
I am bored to death every day. I joined a no name regional shop out of college in 2021, from a super non-target school (because I'm poor financially not academically). I was planning to lateral after 2 years and am feeling stuck as hell now. Never wanted to get above the Analyst level here and just got promoted to Associate and starting to feel like I'm going to get behind in my career and have to start back again as an experienced Analyst when I do join a better firm.
I had big dreams man. Wanted to lateral to a global firm, do a stint in the London office, etc. Now I'm just trying to get the fuck out of the tertiary hometown market I work in. Someone tell me good news, please, my heart is breaking.
Well the internal message (BB) is that things are picking up but that was also the internal message last year. Don't give up hope.
Thank you nutmegger. I will wait another month before I hurl myself out the 3rd-floor office window of the low-rise suburban office building where I currently reside in the soulless southeastern suburbs. )':
Our building doesn’t have coat hooks on the back of the bathroom stall doors because they think people would Epstein themselves on them.
