Company evaluation based on Annual Report in 60 minutes for the interview
Hey guys,
I have a final interview coming up in few days for BIG4 company in corporate finance.
The interview was described to look like following: "You have a company´s annual report, pen and paper. You have to determine, wether we buy the company or not. You have 60 minutes. Then you present for 4-5 people from CF department and answer the Q&A."
They did not tell, wether I will have a buyer company´s data.
There will be no time for DCF.
I will be able to do a quick P/E and find out wether it is higher or lower than 20-25 (which is supposed to be standard), or what will it be in relation to the buyer´s P/E (to determine accretion/dilution).
I will be able to look at the Gross Margins, maybe calculate quickly EBIT Margin, Growth rates.
If I will have any available data for the buyer, I will do the analysis to find strategic synergies.
What else should I be looking for?
Which metrics will bring me closer to the decision alone?
Which other metrics should I look for to compare with the buyer (if the data is available).
Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate your help and Happy New Year everyone!
