Confused lawyer here
Hello everyone, nice to be here.
Obviously I am new here, so should say a few words about myself.
I am 36, admitted to the bar last year, and since then finished an LLM
in corporate and commercial law.
As I have undergraduate degrees in science (BSc) and economics (BA)
I had hopes of getting into intellectual property. However, to my disappointment,
the small size of the sector here means that it is almost impossible to get
in.
As I have had good grades in economics and the couple of finance papers
I did, I thought of taught of looking for a career in finance, even doing an internship
in China. Finance, unlike IP is not territorial in nature as well.
However it seems I may have missed the boat here as well, from what I
have read on this board.
Lack of focus and doing at least two degrees too many might end up biting me
on the bum.
