"I used to be a kid like you... then I took a bullet to the parents."
Greetings to everybody on this forum! That is assuming that somebody is actually reading these "New User Introductions." I attended Michigan State and studied Political Science - Prelaw from 2006-2009 until I realized that I wanted to break into investment banking. Within the semester of that realization, I lost my parents and had to drop school and earn money to care for all of my younger siblings. I moved to Indianapolis and got a job at a mortgage bank. With some hard work and salesmanship, I worked my way up from an Apprentice to Assistant Vice President.
I have since re-established some financial stability for my siblings and just finished up my undergraduate degree (2015) in Economics at Indiana University (Indianapolis) and am now looking for searching for work at investment banks and other financial firms.
I have joined this forum to research what I need to do next, after undergrad, to break into investment banking, be it: a masters, MBA, expensive modeling boot camps, no pay internships, CPA, CFA or moving to network.
If you have any questions for me, feel free to ask... although I doubt I have much information that others need... I anticipate that I will be taking a lot more than I will be giving on this site! At any rate, I am glad to be here!
Cheers to information and networking!
