At what age did you start to really care about school/college?
For me it didn't hit me until junior year (when I knew what colleges to target and what kind of grades I needed and what goals to achieve). I believe at that point it was way too late - you probably need to start in middle school to get on the right track.
My teacher told at me age 10, "The party's over". It was an announcement to our entire 5th grade class. I guess at age 10', then. Damn private school.
