Do banks still have cubicles?
I've noticed that some banks/groups in San Francisco (tech/TMT groups and financial sponsors) have complete open floor plans with everyone sitting shoulder to shoulder, which I think is terrible for working long hours. Wonder if this is the new norm?
we had cubicles, then opened up the floor plan entirely. Now, after Covid, we are going back to cubicles!
Soon in SF you'll walk around in a bubble
why is open plan bad for long hours?
Harder to focus imo when doing an individual task
And harder to crank one out late night. Maybe not harder, maybe just requires more chutzpah to jerk it on the open floor
because Covid will spread throughout the area!
Extroverts probably love an open plan, while introverts likely prefer the cubicle walls.
I feel like the open plan sucks for IB. For slow days you can't really relax or go on espn or whatever without someone looking over your shoulder.
Do banks still have bunk beds?
