Do you consider sparkling water / seltzer to be soda?

If your definition of "soda" is carbonated water, then "yes," I suppose I do drink soda.

Otherwise, "no"

Lately, I have been drinking flavored sparkling water, which tastes a little better than water.

No. Soda makes you fat even if it’s diet. People that drink soda every day and get serious about losing weight cut that habit out and immediately lose 10+ pounds. Water all day to keep metabolism cranking and black coffee. Alcohol only Friday/Saturday if possible.

Soda is for fat poors. That said, I'll have an IBC root beer at a cookout if they're available but that's pretty much the only time, too sweet and horrible for you.

"The obedient always think of themselves as virtuous rather than cowardly" - Robert A. Wilson | "If you don't have any enemies in life you have never stood up for anything" - Winston Churchill | "It's a testament to the sheer belligerence of the profession that people would rather argue about the 'risk-adjusted returns' of using inferior tooth cleaning methods." - kellycriterion

Soda is exclusively for fat & poor people nowadays. Or maybe fat but wealthy people who live in flyover hell. Either way it's for fats.

I used to drink a lot of them in middle and high school. On a hot summer day a coca cola classic will occaisionally sound great, but probably average maybe 1 bottle a year of the stuff nowadays
