Do you have a large library of books?

I had a whole wall of books in the past, but in my last move I decided to put up large paintings on the walls and only have two bookcases which cannot fit all my books, so the rest are in boxes in the closet.

Wbu? I’m looking forward to having a big house for my next move to display all of them. Each book is a special memory to me.

Have a few shelves full of books as I was reading a ton as in younger years. Nowadays don’t have that much time anymore but I always enjoy seeing it and the smell of older books when you open them.

I have some on my iPad. Was thinking of getting a tablet for reading though

I’m not a fan of tablet reading unless I’m traveling light on a long trip.

I underline and highlight my books and can remember the notes and like pulling them off the shelf and remembering exactly where I have made notes.

Have a small bookcase that’s part of a large desk. There are 20 or so books.

Functionally, having physical books in a readily visible bookcase serve as reminders for learning and can reorient you or even inspire you. They are not for anyone else but they can also foster conversation.

I also take notes in physical books and jot take-aways and learnings from ebooks. On this front, this is where I think having a digital interface is superior. It’s way easier to reference insights digitally.

Growing up, I’d often go into a library after school for 3-4 hours to focus on doing homework and I’d often allocate 1-2 hours to read as well. I’ve probably read dozens of books each year as a child there, now I have much less time because of work.

You have terrible reading comprehension.

Working on it! Trying to only buy books once I've read what I bought last time because I don't want to be the person who has a ton of books but hasn't read any of them. Mix of fiction & non-fiction, old and new. Big fan of grabbing a coffee on a walk and checking out a bookstore, see if something catches my eye.

Don't have a traditional "bookshelf", just have them all over the place which I kinda prefer. Not looking to start a library with a filing system

I’d like to dedicate a room in my home toward reading. I’d try to have at least several shelves full of books and spend the day reading through them while smoking out of a pipe

Same - but bong hits for me.

I used to, but I've started checking out books from the library instead. I'll buy the book if I really like it.
