Friendly message to American/Australian tourists in Europe

Could you please turn your volume down when talking?

Everybody understands what you're saying and nobody cares about your superficial bullshit. Both Americans and Australians have a really nasal, obnoxious accent and if you have to speak loud on top of that, (which all of you do btw) it just makes it a lot worse. There's really no need for an entire restaurant/swimming pool to hear you bragging to your peer about how much you think you know about European culture.

Kind regards,
LM

I wish Americans wouldn't overstate their importance in WWI so much. You fought for 3 months in a war that has lasted 4,5 years.

I won't snub the American war effort, but the German offensive were halted before there were that many Americans on the ground in France. In fact if we had for the bulk of Americans to arrive, the war would have only ended in 1919 (as per Foch & Haig joint plans).

Wut?

American industry kept Britain afloat. The invasion of North Africa tied up Germans and Italians. The Italian campaign kept Kesselring tied up. And D Day was the invasion of fortress Europe.

Straight fact, but Britain would have fallen if it wasn’t for the US. Italy and Germany would have gotten ME oil and the Germans could have overrun Russia.

Diminishing the US and Russia in saving Europe is an absolute travesty. And idiotic considering Hitler held effectively the entire continent.

So sad to see so much American blood spilt for a continent marching towards its death. Hopefully Italy, Austria, Hungary and Poland can right the ship. Once again Germany is the enemy of all Europe.

Edit - never mind, you said WWI.

The way you find Australians and Americans annoying, I find Slavs and Latins annoying when they come to my country.

I’ve run into plenty of idiotic Europeans who visit the US.

Love people who get salty about tourists, but never think it applies when they travel. Or Europeans who forget the US is the size of the entire European continent and one could never leave the US and still see and learn from countless different cultures.

Then again, let’s give Europe some credit. Who needs to visit the Middle East when you can just go to Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, etc. Thanks guys!
