How to thank your parents

I have a great relationship with both of my parents but am looking for ideas to thank them. It is because of them I have such a high quality of life - they encouraged school work and sports, social activities, paid for my college, and now I have pretty much everything I want and I think it's because of them.

I have written a few long letters to tell them how much it means they were such good, active parents, but I am looking for other ideas for gifts? They are both well off so just the nature of something being expensive would be lost on them. It is also hard with coronavirus as I was thinking about sending them to some place like Seaside or Santa Barbara.

Thoughts?

Love the self-awareness. I'm also in the camp that I'm better off than 99% of people on earth all thanks to my parents. They gave you privilege so maybe give them some as well: give them grandchildren, definitely express gratitude a lot (I didn't realize how privileged I am until recently, and I've been spending much more time with them and say how much I love them and am grateful for what they've done). Letters are an awesome way of expression too - definitely send them that.

after taking take of the basic human needs (shelter, food, health, etc..) one thing that parents love from their children is bragging rights...and i'm not talking about how much money you make (although, they love knowing that their children will not suffer financially).

I'm talking about things like -being a leader in your community...the respect of other people -buying a family vacation property (like a beach house, or a really nice cabin in the woods, or on a lake, or a ski house) and inviting them to share it with you and your family...time and a relationship with their grand kids is something most parents cherish. -volunteering in an organization where your unique position / knowledge allows you to help under-privaledged people...for example, voluteering to teach a class in a high school for free to help poor kids get onto a path where they can make good money and exit the poverty of their family --> this is the real bragging rights
