Maximizing Downtime in a BB Wealth Management Internship

Interning at a BB in Europe within wealth management, facing an unusual challenge: excessive downtime. After a busy start due to client admin issues, the workflow has significantly decreased, leaving me with limited tasks. My next role is an M&A internship, but until then (5 months from now), I'm here, often idle.

Management is pretty laid-back, acknowledging my situation but unable to provide more work. I've been proactive, using the time to brush up on finance knowledge and follow industry news. However, this isn't sustainable or particularly fulfilling. Attendance is non-negotiable, so I'm reaching out for strategies to make the most of this period. Insights from anyone who's been in a similar spot would be greatly appreciated. I started bringing my personal computer for studying and everyone is pretty chill about it. I feel like i'll die with 5 more months of this. In the meanwhile i search everyday for new opportunities in the industry, but that takes me at most 1h of my time
