Problems At Chuck E. Cheese
If you thought things were bad at Bennigan's when they were forced to close for bankruptcy a few months ago or at any of the Wall Street firms or American automakers, you haven't seen anything yet.
Chuck E. Cheese, while popular and profitable, has been incurring a brutal storm of bad publicity lately. The Wall Street Journal unleashed this amazing and lengthy feature story ( http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122878081364889613.html ) on the number of instances of violence and required police action at many restaurant locations across the country.
Alcohol and kids birthday parties is a bad combination. You can't make this stuff up.
If you read through the WSJ article, I promise the inner child in you will not regret one second of it.
The biggest melee broke out in April, when an uninvited adult disrupted a child's birthday party. Seven officers arrived and found as many as 40 people knocking over chairs and yelling in front of the restaurant's music stage, where a robotic singing chicken and the chain's namesake mouse perform.
Anyone wanna hit up the local C.E.C. this weekend to get wasted, eat some pizza, and get in a fight? I know I do.
hahahahahahaha
I'm down! haha!
