Profile evaluation + need advice

Hi people,

I just finished my freshman year. Would like you to evaluate how I am doing and give some advice.

Thank you beforehand.

Little bit of background:

I am from the CIS (former Soviet) country. Place has literally no big deals, IPOs. Therefore, there is no IB/PE/VC/HF activity. We have typical Big 4 firms + 1 Sovereign Wealth Fund + one of MBB firms + oil corporations + retail banks.

Want to break into local MBB (or get into top European business school for masters (Bocconi, LBS level)). The office of MBB here is pretty new (less than 10 years old) + has small number of consultants. The local hires are from one target university where I currently study.

P.s. = I know some will say what I am doing box ticking, however, just want to be planned + full year online due to COVID took away college life

My stats after freshman year (out of 4 year study program):

  1. GPA = 4.0
  2. Extracurriculars = Finance/business roles in 1 club and Student government and in Pan-European non-profit organization, tutoring students + volunteering work in university
  3. Awards (if they count) = Entrepreneurship competition organized by foreign consulate + essay competition
  4. Work experience = It quite tough to get any kind of internships till the junior year, however, have good chances getting into mentorship programme in big 4 advisory + risk management internship in foreign retail bank for this summer (the bank has good foreign presence but not so big in my country, think of Nomura presence in the USA)
  5. Networking = With the help of Linkedin got in touch with former consultant + have 1 good and 1 still in progress connection with current consultant.

Plans for upcoming year:

  1. ACCA exams (think of CPA)
  2. Maintaining good GPA
  3. Trying to get internship
  4. Opening consulting/finance club
  5. Research + teaching assistant at university
  6. Fancy volunteering (think of car race)
  7. Networking

Just want you to evaluate the profile of mine.

Need advice: Because of covid, I had a lot time to study at home, however, I know that I have not good stress+time management skills. Need advice in improving effiency+stopping procrastination.

Thats all. Sorry for writing a book-long post. Any advice/comment/partial advice would be great.

Thank you.
