Curious what everyone’s effective tax rate this year is. Since this is a finance forum please use cash basis only (sorry B4 lurkers). In other words: Cash Outflow due to taxes/Total Cash Income Cash Outflow due to taxes includes Income, Property, Social Security, Capital Gains, etc. Do not make adjustments for DTA/DTL (if applicable). Total Cash Income includes Cash Income (please do not include unrealized non-cash income such as options, restricted stock, etc.), Realized Capital Gains, etc.

$69,363 / $274,610 for fiscal '21. IIRC I'm sitting right around 34.4% for AIO Fed/State/Local. Couple itemized and/or standard deductions. I'd have to double-check expenditures for cap gains and/or QBI deductions but that seems right. Every time I feel pain from seeing that $69K I just gotta think about how at least it ain't 50%+ like my European friends! They got their free healthcare tho, I'd have to do the math on how it'd benefit me specifically (or lack thereof). Overall pretty solid year, big shoutout to Mr. Bossman for that bonus. Edit: Location is DC Metro / DMV for those interested.
